Thats a beautiful tank!
I've always wanted Discus but I'm not sure if I'll always have enough time or money to take care of them.
Very nice though! _________________ "Workin' hard sometimes can help ya' maintain..." |

I'll tell you exactly what Amano wouldn't like...
he'd mention that a discus tank requires some substrate to be open and untouched by plants...
(I read all his comments on the aga contests)...
btw, I love your tank, it looks great! _________________ 20g planted - 1.5 wpg - pea gravel/sand/laterite - DIY co2 |

*Opens post....*
"Wow........"
*moments silence*.
It's been a while since a setup has had that effect on me
That's incredible! Easily on par with Magnus's 20G setup from last year, if not better .

| Great looking tank, and exactly what I'm hoping to create! Can you post your tank specifics? What equipment do you use, what chems do you add (and when) and what are your levels? Looks really nice, thanks for the inspiration. |

| it's a 90 gallon tank. I use 4x 65 watts of compact flourescents @10 hours, an eheim pro 2028 canister filter, compressed co2 @1.5 bubbles/second, 200 watt heater, pH=6.2, soft KH & gh, 1/2 water change/week, prune weekly which takes 15 minutes during the water change, substrate is flora base, fertilize every 2 months w/ plant/root tabs. I guess it's a high tech low maintenace tank. thank you very much for your comments. I appreciate it very much. joel |

That's very neat tank. I wish I can have one like that in the future.
what's so cool is that, you have several different kinds of discuss too! |

(And the board seems to disallow me to post small messages. So this means we can no longer say great tank to pictures posted in photo gallery?) |
