6th pic in the second post isnt a flowerhorn?

It has the red eyes, and really, spotting of a trimac, rather than the barred midas types. And pure trimacs are pretty rare, so, cheap flowerhorn?

Or, it could be the picture too... :/

Thanks Shanna. The midas/red devil complex has different color morphs. I'm happy that I almost have all of them.

This is how I keep most of males except for the white midas. The tanks are separated by acrylic dividers. They could see each other but no damage done to each other. The females are both in community tanks.

It's the pic. The first pic in the first post is the same fish as the 6th pic in the second post. Both the small barred Red Devil/Midas came from a very good source. The two big ones are from Jeff Rapps.

Those are some beautiful fish. My uncle in singapore has a few midas cichlids. He said they are literally giving them away there because nobody wants them or they are not willing to take care of them anymore...he says people just throw them into the lakes/rivers.
I wish I could take them back home with me! Razz

JeremyL, I wish I was in Singapore. I had to order my barred midas from NJ just to have them.

He's around 3 years old. I've dedicated a 100 G of space for him (3' 4"x2x2'). I'm searching for a female Creamsickle midas right now.

Wow. Midas cichlids was a fab in s'pore, along with flowerhorns...after the fab was over everyone just started dumping them...
People said these fish brought good luck.
My uncle saved a few actually he has about 4-5 of them...they are extrememly aggressive and owner responsive...beautiful fish.
