Just wondering which coral I would be able to have in a 8WPG senerio. I am getting the Dual Satellite 2x40 watt SunPaq with Lunar Light & Fan.

Just wondering what my option are in this one?

thanks

That's a 2x40 for a 10? I'd still stay with mostly softs and corallimorphs, and slow growing ones at that. Some LPS might be an option, but again, you'll want really slow growers.

I have seen some hardy species of sps coral being happily kept under floros. especially the ever loved green dallas one of the more famous and hardiest of sps corals kept by reefers in australia.

but as Kdodds has stated in such a small tank you will only really want slow growing corals or your going to have some serious turf wars as corals get closer and closer to eachother.

Go check out the nano tanks. I know there is a site just for them. 8wpg of fluoros will let you keep anything you want. I've done pc's on 70 gallon tanks and had tremendous sps growth at 6 wpg. Also check out reefcentral for saltwater issues. Prob. the best and most comprehensive site on marine aquariums.

You can not really go by WPG. 6 inches under 40 watts is 6 inches under 40 watts, no matter the tank size. Yes, sure, some people have had some success with SPS under less than ideal lighting conditions. BUT, it's not really recommendable. IF someone wanted to "try" it, I would suggest they go with a Montipora digitata frag that has been captive grown. But, here again, you run into space issues.
