Well here is my latest project. This is the 10 gallon that I had to grow out a Red Zebra cichlid. The Red has gotten a new home which I will also be posting some pics of.

Here it is, all comments welcome.

Right now there is 5 neon tetras, 1 gold german ram, and a juvie bristlenose pleco.

Substrate is fine white sand. Filtration is 2 penguin bio-wheel minis(both have media from existing tanks, NO cycling YEAH!) Heater is a whisper 50 watt.

Water is at 80 deg. F, pH 6.5, A=0 NI=0 NA= less than 40 ppm.

I plan to get some low light plants in time I have to start a different thread to learn about that though.

It looks really nice. FYI the ram needs much less nitrates than 40. I would get them down to 10 or less to avoid problems.

Thanks for the tip on the nitrates huntress. The test I have is those dip tests and all I can tell is that the color is somewhere between 10 and 40. I need to get a better test.

I like the aquarium pharmaceuticals Nitrates test kit. Unless you get a bad kit the tests are spot on.
