I have a 6 to 7 inch Jag and I can only get him to eat live feeder fish. He will not eat any pellets. I hear it is not good to feed nothing but fish but what other choice to I have? Sad

I've read that some jag's are picky eaters. Some only accept live foods...it is recommended to try and wean them onto dried foods mainly because feeders might carry a disease. I would quarantine the feeders and make sure they are healthy before feeding. Dried foods will enhance the growth/color of you fish though, and will already have vitamins and minerals in them...
Have you tried starving your jag for a while to get him hooked onto the pellets?

Yeah that is what the guys at the pet store said but it seems not to be working. I think they had him a while and it was fun to feed him live fish. I am going to try and see if I can get him to at least eat beef hearts. He is a cool fish when I open the lid to feed them he comes out of the cave and once he sees it is not something alive he turns around and heads back.

I used to have a jaguar cichlid that was over a foot in length that definitely wasn't a picky eater. He ate anything and everything I gave as food.

Here's some ideas on how to get him to eat other stuff:

Starve him a little(like what has already been mentioned).
Feed him stick food and frozen food and make it look like it's alive.
Try other live foods that'll move in the water like earthworms, crickets, crayfish, mealworms, etc.(my jaguar loved all these)
Feed other stuff while you feed him the feeder fish so he might understand that it is food as well.

Darth, I was just curious if you were planning to upgrade your tank in the near future.

I don't have one anymore. I gave up keeping fish after my last tank burst on me and I lost all my fish. I may get into it again someday.
