| what diet do you recommend for a yellow tang I am introducing to my 75g tank? I know its an herbivore, but will it still eat brine shrimp and flakes? what types of vegetables should/can I feed it? |

They will eat algae, lettuce, flakes, etc.
Just make sure to let him sit in your QT tank for at least 3 weeks, as tangs, espceially the yellow ones are very prone to ich. |

DanG is correct about QT. Focus on green foods like Nori algae, you'll find plenty of green based options at your LFS so you can avoid terrestrial greens completely. _________________ Keepin' marines happy for 25 years |

What it WILL eat may not be best for it. Yes, they'll eat shrimp, but a diet high in vegetable matter is really necessary to maintain health. I would suggest Nori as well. But a varied diet is also important. Emerald Entree from SFBB and Formula Two from Ocean Nutrition are frozen foods I use all of the time. For flake food, I'd try to stick with something like Formula Two. _________________ Kieron Dodds
