I'm looking into purchasing a 7 gal mini bow for my office. It's going to be a freshwater tank. I would like to make it a planted tank. It comes with a flourescent light and a HOB filter.
I would like to know what plants I could put in the 7 gal mini bow?
and what I could use for a substrate in a small tank.
I was thinking perhaps microsword and anubias. are those good? any other possibilities?

they are fine,
some java moss, as some val. sp w/ regular trimming would turn out a treat but you would also maybe need to get some root tabs or laterine if you want to heavily plant for the best effect,

look under the small plants section in the gallery
and the medium/carpet ones for your range
