I currently have a 160litre fish only tank that allready has a Maroon Clown, a Dottyback and a Coral Beauty (all roughly 4cm) I have two questions.

1-How many more could I get without making conditions bad?
2-What fish would be suitable with my currently happy inhabitants?

1. In my opinion, none. The Maroon Clown will get quite large, roughly 6". The Coral Beauty should hit over 3", maybe closer to 4". The Dottyback, depending on species, can go anywhere from 2" to over 6".

2. As stated above, under the current conditions, IMO, none.

Would it be all right for him to add an invert? A skunk cleaner shrimp or a couple of snails or hermit crabs?

If you're going to add shrimps, watch out for the dottyback. I'm not sure what kind you have, but large ones LOVE to eat shrimp. You could probably put a serpent star or something similar. Maybe a damsel.

Inerts add very little to bio-load, and in some cases hellp alleviate bio-load somewhat (by eating fish waste and unconsumed food).

"Squeezing in" fish is a very bad idea in marine aquariums. The species suggested would be an exceptionally bad choice in such a small tank, especially since it already contains one Centropyge. Sorry, but it's true.

No worries, and you're not stupid. Just becuae you don't know a thing doesn;t make you stupid. None of us can know everything, or even close to it.

Centropyge is one of the genuses of Dwarf Angels, so I would be referring to your Coral Beauty. Adding another territorial and competing species to such a small tank would, IMO, be a recipe for disaster. If you can put them in a larger tank, where there is more territory, fish life is more varied, and there are tons of things going on, it's certainly possible to put more than on Dwarf Angel in a tank. I'm doing it myself in my 180 (soon to be 450). I have a Coral Beauty, an African Flameback, and a Nox. No problems. But, that's a 180.

Your 180 tank is that gallons or litres if gallons do you know the rough conversion for my 160litre and yours?

an 160 litre saltwater with a maroon clown, a dottyback and a dwarf angelfish. I think it would be safe to add a blenny or goby of some sort and certain types of invertabrates.

clownaus I highly recomend www.masa.asn.au go to their forum its all aus, lots of equitmenta nd livestock trading and lots of people would be happy to recoment good lfses and olses.
