My tank is finally normal and up a running for ages now and my final upgrades are done and the South american biotope idea I had Seems to have turned out really well

attached is a photo,

2 Bolivian rams (Male and Female)
9 Neons
3 singapore wood shrimp ( just had to)
Lots of plants, Floating and Valis and DIY Co2
its a Juwel 70 Litre, Did My own activated carbon section to get rid of tanins etc

Cheers All let me know what you think,

I don't want to harrass you, but
1. Your pictures are too big, because
2. I believe you need to have embeded photos to post in this thread...

after you resize the images, type the urls like I have them below, replacing the - w/ ] or [

hope that helps, Smile

looks good, btw

Nice tank but I fail to see how its an accurate representation of a South American presumably Amazon biotope Confused

I agree with Ultra. Beautiful tank, but it is much better looking than a SA biotope, which is usually a pretty drab looking thing- a combination of silty sand, bare twigs and oodles of half decayed leaves.

The closest I've seen to an actual SA biotope is this, which is an awesome representation of what the photos I've seen of the amazon look like (though the amazon looks cloudier)

This is more of a continental tank than a biotope tank, and even at that it falls short of the mark given the presence of the Singapore wood shrimp, the African root wood, the likely African or Asian Nymphaea lotus, the Java fern, the Java moss, and what looks like they might be Cryptocoryne in the foreground?

I think if you eschewed the "biotope" tag, your tank would be appreciated more for what it is, which is nice.
