Hi all,
I have just made myself a ply hood for my 6ft tank. Can anyone tell me what is the safes stuff to use to seal and water proof the wood with.

Your hood shouldn't be submerged in the tank, so really you're just looking for something to protect the wood. Any good polyeurathane (sp?) will help it have a long life even near the humidity and splashing of a tank. It's the same stuff they sell to guard porches and decks against the elements. Just make sure it dries completly before bringing it near the tank. _________________
