Laughing Hello, I am a Brit living and retired in Southern France near the village of Thezan les Beziers. I found you very helpful site today. I have kept tropical fish for some time but now I am staring to learn more about the water chemistry. I also have a garden pond that I started 7 years ago with 7 gold fish, now I have 30 fish ranging in colors from white to a briliant deep gold and in various sizes. We have frogs around so the breeding that was going on has declined which is not a bad thing as the fish would have over populated the pond. Now I look forward to reading the various interesting articles in the site. Cool

 Hello Marcus,
I started my pond 7 years ago with 7 smal goldfish, today we have 36 fish in the pond, ranging from deep red to white, naturaly a frog tok resisdence some 6 years ago and probably his descendants now live there, the breeding now has slowed down, I was concerned about over crowding, maybe the frog/s are have a feast on the eggs.

I have just set a new replcement tank,(96 liters a Hagen Waterhome) 1 Lemon tetra and a Barb from my old tank. We introduced 6 Zebra Danios 3 days ago and all is well. The tank is well planted and the water balance appears OK, fingers crossed.
