because I know I don't...

I'm looking at starting a forum (not a fish keeping forum Wink ) and I've been trying out various different free software for about two weeks without much luck. The main thing I want to achieve is a "tree" structure with a number of different levels of subforum, I.e. Catagory->Forum->Sub-Forum->Sub-sub-forum->Sub-sub-sub-forum etc. etc. etc.

I've tried IPB 1.3 and phpBB with no luck, vBulletin can probably do it but I'm not looking at spending any money, at least at the moment. So is there a way to do this?

I know this isn't the best site to post this question but I'm a bit stuck, and I'm sure Marcos knows a little bit Surprised, and there are other people who are mods here and on other sites.

Anyone who can point me in the right direction would be a great help.

www.invisionfree.com can host your forums for free. It's pretty good software, and you can get phpBB and get a mod for it...

Thanks for your reply brennus.

After a bit more research, it looks like I can't easily do what I was hoping. I'll check out the link though.

Cheers.
