Not a bad tank. The pics are kind of bad, but I can't talk, I suck at photography. Smile

are you sure thats a 70 gallon aquarium? looks kinda small. what are the dimentions. I never heard of anybody lighting a 70g aquarium with an 18" or 15watt floro. also that kuhli loach should really be in a group of 3 or more with lots of nooks and crannys for them to hide in.

well the khuli loach are not popular around my local fish shops. it was given to me by a friend. there are heaps of hiding places for him.

61cm long

37 cm tall
31cm wide

divide by 1000 =69.967+

I make that to be 70litres, just under 20G. I would look for a new home for your clown loach now, as that tank is too small for him, plus they need to be in shoals to be happy.

yep. I knew that was way to small for a 70 gallon aquarium, 18.5 gallons is more like it. I secound mogwai's statment, get rid of the clown loach. also talk to your lfs most lfses willl order stuff in for you so you can have a happy loach.

also what are these 3X Algae eaters? oto or CAE? I thought 18.5g would be to small for CAE.

Andrew I am very impressed with your tank-size-analyzing eyes! Is this why you always ask for full tank shots, so you can give them the EYEBALL treatment? Very Happy Shocked

its all in the method. I just looked at the clues.

no way you could ever have live plants in a 70g tank with 15watts of lighting.

nobody only has that many fishes in a 70g tank.

I still stand by my previous statment. get rid of the clown loach and get some more kuhli loach freinds and add lots of nooks an crannys for them to hide in.

didn't you look at the photos! there are enoguh places for the khuli loach to hide in. there is a temple, a shipwreak a clay pot a piece of slate.

and I don't really care about that rule: it needs more fish to interact. there are 3 CAE, 1 clown loach & 3 corry he interacts with the gusy at the btoom.

and the clown loach is not going away atm he is just 6 cm long & the aquarium is 61 cm long. & the CAE are going back to my LFS since I'm going to replace it with a smaller pleco later on

P.S I only hired the clown loach to kill off my snail problem
