funny that you mention the candiru! This summer I've been lucky enough to get the chance to visit Ecuador for 11 days, and the Galapagos islands for 8 days as part of a school trip with many of my friends. We're staying at hotels very near the amazon, and we've been told we will be making trips there. Chances are I won't have a lot of time to see all the local fish- but just knowing theyre there is pretty awesome. There's always something more intriguing about a fish when its in its natural environment. We're also going snorkeling for two of the days we are on the Galapagos, which I am ecstatic for! Anyway, a friend of mine did a report on the candiru, most of the parents had dropped jaws and it even caused a younger kid to drop off of the trip just a little enlightenment |

I voted Vampyra myself.
Thanks for the link and info Marco. That's cool that the BBC has opened this to public opinion. _________________ "... instead of considering what to say when they write, people now just let thoughts drool out onto the screen," - about e-mail

I'm actually watching that series on the bbc which features that fish, Its realy quite interesting, they managed to film black ghost knifefish in their native waters which has never been captured on camera before, there was also a bunch of other interesting but scary fish in that programme aswell. Theirs a whole load of ugly looking fish out there, lol. |
