sorry that you lost the female. I have a pair of gold rams that I absolutely love. they're so cool. I had looked for a pair for months before one of my lfs finally got a pair. I would be very sad if I lost them.

I lost my Ryukin goldfish a few weeks ago. I had him for 6 years. I did a water change and the next day, he had dropsy. I treated with maracyn and coppersafe. nothing helped. he passed on a couple days later. he was perfectly healthy before the water change.
my next door neighbor cleaned his tank the same day that I did, and his fish got sick as well. the tap water must've been off. since then, I test my tap water, just in case.
