NICE snakeskin  . I'm jealous, I had an OK one that came to a quick end because of a certain little boy pouring a can of food in his tank.
Where in NYC are you. I live in Queens. Are you a breeder or just keeping them for fun? Either way you have some sweet discus. I must find out your source as I'm going to restock in the spring

Hi all,
Thanks for all the input. I'm in Queens, NEW YORK CITY. The tank is a 125g BB tank with a few banana plants. I do 30-40% w/c every other day.
Diet:
My beefheart shrimp mix
Hikari frozen blood worm and brine shrimp
Color Bits
Earthworm Flakes...
I'm not a commercial breeder. However, I do have discus for sale in occasion.

| Beautiful Discus, are you planning on breeding? I'm thinking of getting a pair myslef after about 2 years of fishkeeping have you found them a challenge to raise? |

Beautiful Discus, I just can't get myself to like a bare tank tho. I know the discus are picky with water parameters. I"m just saying keeping a bare tank just isn't my bag. I love the way those discus look tho it's too bad they're so hard to keep healthy in a furnished tank.

In the beginning, yes I've found them hard to keep. But I realized they are hardy fish as many of you didn't expect them to be. Good water is the key to succeed in discus keeping. Breeding them is more complicated, but it is achievable.
