Today, I was in the mall, and while my mom paid her bills, I ventured into the pet store. Even before I walked in, I noticed a huge sign "40% off everything in the store!"

I knew I was doomed..

I looked around, and then, I came upon a huge display of tanks. There was a sign posted, saying that they were all 50% off. I freaked.

I went and asked the lady who owns the shop if they had any 29 gallon, or 25 gallon tanks left. To my surprise, there was only one 29 ($58.00)gallon, and only three 25 ($54.00) gallons.

After I got home tonight, I was pacing back and forth, trying to figure out a way to get my hands on one of those. My student loan is late (I got to university) so I have NO money right now. So in a last ditch effort, I called my dad and explained the situation. He said as long as I paid him back when my loan arrives, that I could borrow the money.

AHH! So tomorrow, I will either come home with a 29 gallon or 25 gallon, depending on what is left. I can't believe the deal! 1/2 off of a fish tank's regular price is amazing. I wasn't planning on getting a second tank until the summer, but I can't pass up this deal.

It won't be set up until August, when I move to my own apartment, but I will be planning what to put in it from now until that time.. lol

Cory - lots and lots of cheap tanks in the local press or Ebay, mostly from people who have bought the tanks, piled in a load of fish without cycling then got disheartened when they end up with a lot of dead fish... Evil or Very Mad
All my tanks have been bought on offer and further reduced - befriend people in the LFS...especially the managers! Smile

hehe.... I winced in pain everytime you said 40% off and 50% off...
its such a torture though, I would procrastinate and say "you got MTS
already! lay off the tanks!" and then find myself walking to the counter to
ask for it..!

congrats on finding those deals though Smile
