Green Day is pop punk. Like new Offspring (post Smash) and Avril Lavigne. They ARE a boy band. Razz They just play their own instruments instead of getting someone else to do all the work.

Anyway, I usually crank out Godsmack, Rammstein, Tool, Metallica, White Zombie, Yngwie Malmsteen and Tea Party with the occasional Korn, NERD and Jerk. I sometimes mix in a little Charlotte Church and random classical (I love A Night On Bald Mountain) for variety. I truly believe Metal and Classical go together like no other forms of music.

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I think thats just wrong. Lumping Green Day in with Avril? I'm sorry, but Green Day actually did pay their dues, and they can play live too in stark contrast to Avril Lavigne who wouldn't even dare refer to something remotely political as opposed to her usual "boo hoo we just broke up" nonsense. Look at Green Day's latest album. It highlights many important issues, and is also brilliant musically. Green Day has come a long way from Dookie (another excellent album I might add), the mere fact that they've been around making fantastic albums for more than 10 years shows that they're more than just a boy band.

I'm not looking to start an argument or anything but thats just how I feel.

As my avatar gives away, I'm enjoy Radiohead, and as my rant suggests I really like Green Day. Other bands I'm into include Modest Mouse, The Shins, Portishead, Eels, The Doors, The Beatles, Bob Marley, The Killers, Rancid, NoFX and Rage Against the Machine. I usually don't really listen to music when watching my tank.

OK take this for what it's worth but is it at all possible that our fishes moods can be swayed by our music? I was listening to some Ray Charles and Norah Jones and my fish were all swimming complacently. I put in that new Papa Roach CD I kid you not when the guitar kicked in on Blood (empty promises) my Nanoluteus went on a spree and killed some baby guppies Shocked that isnt a huge problem with the prevalence of baby guppies but I just thought Id share.

I'll play some Slipknot(another band I listen to while watching fish) in the same room as my tank and see will they be affected by it...
-puts on album-
-fish repeatedly slam themselves off tank furnishings-
