I have 4 orfe; 2 gold and 2 blue. One of the blue orfe and one of the golden orfe have small white spots on their pectoral fins. To start with I thought they may have had parasites, however they are the only 2 fish in the pond to have these small white spots and the small white spots are only on their pectoral fins. They also don't seem to be irritating the fish in any way either. So I thought that maybe the male orfe develope these small white spots when breeding conditions are correct, just like male goldfish develop tiny white tubercals on their head. Does anybody have any idea what the white spots could be Question

They are known as tubercles.

Spawning of orfe is quite uncommon though.
