Hey all...

There have been some really interesting finds recently in the ole 10g nano. Firstly, the baby urchin that came along with the LR some 3.5 months ago was spotted again. It is now the size of a lima bean, with pink and white spikey bits. Very cool. It was just moving across the front glass one night.

Next, my brother spotted this 2 inch long bright red millipede-like worm thing with a white spikey tail. We were all wide-eyed at its existence in the tank, but have NO idea what the hell it is! It's still in there. WHAT THE DICKENS IS IT???

Sounds like all is well. I would love to see pictures of your tank.

Hi Village...

Neither of the pics looks like the one in my tank, but I think we're on the right track with the bristle worm theory. It's solid bright red, not fuzzy, lots of legs/feets, and has a white spikey tail. I'll try to take a picture. Thanks again!

Well, no one has yet to ID the bright red millipede worm thing in my tank, but based on Villages posts, I'm leaning towards a type of bristle worm.

I bought a pink tip anenome today ($5.99 - how could I resist). I know that this sort of anenome will not host a maroon clown, but I bought more to see if it would survive in the tank. After I lost that beautiful RBTA, I want to make sure the water is going to be AOK.

So far, so good.

at what times during the day/night do you see the worms?

typically you see the bristle worms at night, and you have to be ninja sneaky to see them... wear socks and either have the moonlights on, or use a dim flash light...

I've always read that you have two tanks, the one you see during the day, and the one you don't see at night... Smile
