OK well me and my friend have been plotting random waste money ideas. we thought about breeding crayfish. nope. well we have moved to goldfish. we would have a 32g tall aquarium with lighting and substrate already cycled to house the adults. how do we tell if there a boy and girl also at what size do they start to make babies. the rearing tank will be somthing like a 10g with bubble filtration and the babies will get crushed up flake food. how many babies will we get out of 1 spawning?

Slackra ,
If under the right conditions , a spawn of anywhere from 500 eggs and up could occur from a breeding pair.Goldfish are morning spawners and will start going at it during dawn and finish in two-to four hours.Goldfish are sexually mature after one year , but ones that are kept in warmer waters have been known to spawn at onlt 9 months so I have been told.
