Just wanted to introduce myself, I'm gonna start a 10 gallon tank soon.

Around 10 years ago I had a 10 gallon tank but the fish met their demise within 6 months so I'm gonna try again now that I'm older and wiser.

Any suggestions on freshwater fish? I know I want a scavenger for my tank but I heard plecostomuses can get very big.

Your best bit of advice for any new fish keeper is to 'cycle' your tank properly before adding fish!!!

This will ensure a reeduction in fish deaths and harmful baterial blooms.

Try fishles cycling by adding a bit of flake food to the tank every day and doing a 10% daily water change.

Good Luck
