Two issues: black hair algae that is taking over. I have started using ro water but only recently. Until then I have cut back on light and started triming plants. Am using algae fix in a bucket and putting plants in it. When the algae is dead I will clean the plants and put back in the aquarium.
Can I do more?
Second: the water has a green tinge to it. The tank is heavily planted with intense lighting. Will reduction of light and gradual r0 water changes help the green tinge? |

Try Steve Hampton's article for information on dealing with algae in a planted tank. _________________ Happy fishkeeping!
