I currently have an 80 gallon L tank which is moderately stocked. I want to keep a regular schedule of water changes but at the same time I don't want to over do it. Until now I have been changing about 15 gallons every 2 weeks but I think this is probably not enough. I've had a few fish die but mostly all fish are happy and healthy. Any suggestions?

It is usually recomended a minimum of 10% water change PER week. I have a 135 gallon tank and like to do about a 12 gallon water change twice a week sometimes more if I am bored. I don't think you can over do it, because the more water I change the better the colors of the fish and the more healthy they are.

I have a 100 gal. tank along with other smaller tanks, and at least 30% once a week works for me. Of course, I have a python, or I would absolutely dread tank cleaning day! Wink
