I got a new 10 gallon yesterday, and I'm going to make it a coldwater tank.

I know that goldfish get too big for a 10 gallon, so I'm going to go with white clowds.

with just white clouds, how many can I have?

You could start with a school of seven, add java moss, and start a little colony.

You may also want to consider the pygmy livebearer(Heterandria formosa). Males are half the size of a whitecloud and while these fish show little color they make up for that by quiet beauty and of course being cute. Again, you will soon end up with a small colony of fish.
