OK, where's all my "Reefers", and "ReefHeads!" I was reading this months TFH mag, and there was an article on DSB(Deep Sand Beds) vs. Plenum systems. There was nothing to the article IMO but the author arousing our curiosity and then not even stating any of the "facts" and data the author recorded after his experiment. Mad He left it so vague, saying, for the info we must attend some conference in Boston (which I would love to do, BUT can't!) SO, I bring this question to the board, asking your opinions and experiences on plenums and or DSB's. which you think is better and why.

personally I think that the plenum system would be more effective as it is basically a dsb ontop of a ugf plate. the ugf plate alows more water space for the anerobic bacteria that turn nitrate into a gas which simply bubbles out of the aquarium. just my 2 cents
