I get a lot of midges flying around the pond, especially at the first filter chamber. I use both bio and mechanical filter system.
Can't seem to rid the midges :( Any advice please.

Let them be as they won't do anything to you or the ponds inhabitants.

Actually, they will do something-they will provide a possible foodsource for the fish in the form of bloodworms(midge larvae)! I used to pull these out of my filters on the occasion.
