hey I need sum help w/ my saltwater ank it has been cycling for along time now I added a clown and a hermit crab the hermit crab is fine but the clown died after the clown died I tested my water and the amonia was at 2.0 instead of 0 usually wen I tested it, it was at 0 so idk what to do. what should I do to lower my amonia??

it looks like your cycle didn't work very well. if your tank had cycled properly you should never have detectable levels of ammonia or nitrite.

How exactly were you cyling your tank? Did you have some sort of ammonia source?

how long did you cycle your tank? most saltwater tanks take about a month some take a little more. id let your tank settle and just ride it out. also did you do any water changes during the cycle that can actually prolong your cycle.
