I'm new to the hobby and would greatly appreciate any opinions on the type of filter that would work best for my tank. I recently built a 150 gallon aquarium Very Happy .. its 78" L 24"H 18" W .. I've looked at the Fluval 404 but what else is good for this size. I'm trying to keep my cost under $250 for the filters.. I plan on doing a planted freshwater tank. Any other advice would be welcomed.. thnks in advance

1 you posted in the wrong area as your asking questions about freshwater aquariums. 2 I would go for 2 aquaclear 500s that would give you around 6gph of filtration.

I got an Eheim 2250 for 180 + 11.99 shipping from drsfostersmith.com...with media you'll still be under 250. It's very quiet, and I'm hoping for many years of useful service. Smile
