Marcos, this fish is actually something closer to A. hoplogenys, if it's not A. hoplogenys in actuality. A. dolichopterus is a brown mottled fish without blue seams--something that, along with A. temminckii, is closer to your 'standard' bristlenose pleco, if you will. Oddly enough, this error in identification is so insidious that it's even perpetuated by PlanetCatfish.com. Back in Portland this fish was sold as A. sp. 'Blue seam'. Perhaps A. cf. hoplogenys would be the best way to reference this fish. _________________
