At the end of this month I will be going out of town for about 3 and half weeks. I was thinking of getting one of those automatic feeders. Does any one have any suggestions on a good one. Also is there any thing I should do besides a water change and cleaning up my filter? Any help would be great.

I'd ask a friend or neighbor to keep an eye on the tank, make sure they feed the fish and moniter the water levels, and just to make sure that everything is OK. If one of those automatic feeders were to say, fail, or accidently dump too much food in, the results could be disastrous. Alteast if someone is there to watch the tank you'll makes sure that if anything does go wrong, it won't go unchecked for 3 or more weeks.
