Tropica lists this species as being from Southeast Asia but I believe it's a misprint, AFAIK Ludwigias are New World species and Baensch confirms that this one is from Southern USA.

Hah, I knew I had seen this picture before.

Tula, did you know it was being used on the AquaBotanic website? I guess since you are a mod at the forum, you probably have given Robert permission to use it- I just thought it was surprising, that it didn't have your name on it. Smile

Yeah, I knew. He never really asked me for permission, but it's an exceptional case--much different than having a picture show up on a site who's webmaster I don't know at all. Thanks for the heads up, though. Marcos, there's a lot of confusion (myself included) about the relationship between this species and L. perennis and L. peruensis (which is the name I bought the plants under). They could all be referring to the same plant or two or even three different ones. If it's possible that L. peruensis is a legitimate species on its own (and not a synonym for L. glandulosa as I've assumed), then that suggests that the plant above is from South America rather than the US. To make things even more complicated, I think L. ovalis may be an Asian species, so the genus may not be restricted to the New World. Confused
