Hey Lynsey-- "he's" still lookin' good! Glad to see he's done so well. It's funny, before I saw that you had posted this, I was expecting a goldfish Wink

that is not a gold nugget pleco, its a goldie pleco. they are completly different plecos. another common name for the goldie pleco is the sunshine pleco.

Yeah, he is a Scobinancistrus aureatus (L-14) pleco. He or she, I don't really know, will get about 12" long.

There are several types of gold nugget plecos though, one species L-81 will only get to be about 7", but the other gold nuggets will get 12-14".

This guy is starting to warm up to me, and will even come up to my hand now when I feed. Bloodworms are his favorite. I like this guy because he sticks up for himself, but is not aggressive. When I first put this guy in the tank my Oscar had to go investigate, and this guy bonked my Oscar right in the face. My Oscar got pissed and swam away with his mouth wide open. Needless to say my Oscar leaves this guy alone. He also flings gravel all over the place with his tail, especially when my Blood Parrot swims behind him. It is pretty funny.
