I have a very good vet who takes my qt size and works put the med for me per litres -
I can divide or multiply this as per any tank I need to add it to per litre !
If you have a good vet he/she will do this. mine is very inbterested in my tropical fish keeping and made a good treatment for me for nemotode worms I used .
Well done Summerhill Veterinary surgery !!! _________________ Kideafish

Thanks for your comment, Kideafish. So, do you think it would be better to just leave out any suggestions for UK gallon or metric size recommendations for a QT?
Here many of the meds that are sold in the fish stores are dosed per every ten gallons. So a 10 gallon tank is a convenient size when medication is necessary. I was really just wondering how OTC meds are dosed in places that use UK gallons or liters. _________________ Happy fishkeeping!

Well I just gave my vet the name of the treatment I needed and explained why, they took great interest, and then it took him a whole day to mix it up and work it out to amount per litre .
I just then worked out my litrage in any tank I was going to use it in and added the med , which works well I must say !!
Good topic you put in though, I must add ! _________________ Kideafish

Any other inputs are appreciated. _________________ Happy fishkeeping!

Thanks Haname! I've just finished preparing the permanent page and launched it on the site. As usual, I made a few adjustments to the layout and text, please check and feel free to suggest any additions/removals/modifications to the final version, OK? I did convert all units from gallons to liters since AoA is an international site and 'officially' adopts the international (metric) system. _________________ Are you a Fish-HAVER or a Fish-KEEPER?
