|

spoke w/ the local water treatment manager...
I've got soft water... if it's anything like roswell (right next door where I used to live, it's beteen 0-1kH)
they do treate w/ phosphate to remove heavy metals and this is the ppm meas. for what I asked them about...
iron 0.01
zinc 0.00
phosphate 0.50
floride 0.80
iondine - not tested
calcium 17 ppm
copper 0.00
my question is, do I need ro/di? I don't have a lot of extra money to spend on the tank, but I also want to be able to grow some of the hardier mushroom corals, green star polyps, etc... and I don't want to have algae blooms due to the phosphate levels, is there a risk based on the water params?
also, if I do need an ro/di can I save some money and leave out the di stage? _________________ 20g planted - 1.5 wpg - pea gravel/sand/laterite - DIY co2 |
