I'm looking for some pictures of tanks with live rock and fish. id love to do a reef tank. but the cost is a hindurance. I have been doing a little bit of reading, and always find the nice reef tanks. nothign with just rock though. any help and or suggestions on the tank and inhabitants would be appreciated too. more then likely it will be a 29g.

I don't have any pictures, but I have a list of good beginners fish for 29g.

Flame Angels are awesome (Hardy, Pretty, Intelligent)
Bangaii Cardinals
Royal Grammas
Firefishes
Fairy Wrasses
6 Line Wrasse
Assorted Clowns (Not together as many will fight)

I highly recommend the flame angel. Gorgeous, hardy, but expensive. Don't put an angel in a new tank though, they need a well established tank. Good Luck!!!

another question I have that I've thought of... I know with cichlids there is different "regions" northamerican malawi etc. Are there categories for marine fishes that I need to do research for, ie maybe hawaiian vs east of mexico

Well, since the ocean is connected at all places, the water is similar. The basic water requirements are virtually the same around the world. In other words, research on a certain category is not neccessary.
