Huntress, I sincerely hope you have your shimp all alone. Those blasted shrimp ate a bristlenose pleco that was about 4" long.
I never dreamed it would happen considering the pleco had ALWAYS been in that tank, and was "armored" and spiky & everything, you know? On top of that, they're quick swimmers. But then, so are tiger barbs.
Anyway, the pleco is totally gone. The last time I saw it was 2 days ago. It's not in the filter box, it's not on the floor. It's not hiding in the tank anywhere. Those dang shrimp ATE IT.
THey also yanked a fin off a kuhli in another tank. Everyone knows how quick THOSE are.
The teacher wants them early next week (FINALLY!). I hope everyone can live until then. _________________ ~~Shawna |

If you do ever place one of those monsters in a tank with a predator, record it. Just make sure its the Vampires on the receiving end this time. Homemade Godzilla movie anyone?
Did you know that lobsters never stop growing? |

Just an update: The shrimp were taken to school today. The biology professors were COMPLETELY stoked to get them! They were so excited, they couldn't stand themselves. There were a couple of students in the room, too, and they couldn't wait to study the shrimp and they had lots of questions about things I'd witnessed w/ the shrimp.
Donating them to the school was the right thing to do. _________________ ~~Shawna |

LOL! No. Don't look for any. The last time I checked on that shrimp it was living all alone in a tank, and they weren't sure what to do with it. It was huge, though. They were giving it feeder goldfish.
My classes are on the opposite side of campus from Bio. this semester, and it's quite nice to pull in, park, walk a short jaunt to class, then leave. I love not having to walk all the way into and across campus, so I don't think I will this semester unless it's necessary. _________________ ~~Shawna |
