The photographs in this book are indeed very good. The book lacks in detailed description of the plants. The list of plants and fishes does not really identify the species. More information is required on CO2 injection and lighting. The book just gives superficial information. Not recommended for description. Good to view photographs.

The purpose of this book is instruction in the art of compostions with flora and fauna (aquascaping). Amano is simply giving guidance to temper or adjust your habits. If you are looking for in-depth species info, look away. The basics presented in this book could easily be explained by perusing through this website and its forums.
