I like Gareth's layout. There is nice contrast and varying colors. You can see the fish just fine. His fish have hiding spots and the plants add a touch of life. It also doesn't look very busy. It's relaxing on the eyes. There is a center point in the picture and his loaches are in the middle of it.

I think both of the sparsly planted tanks look good. Sebasti

I would have to say Gareth's is the best. A very lively, yet calming tank. All of the tanks were nice, especially the densely planted ones, but I still like Nigel's for not only the plant types and the way it is set up, but also because of the nice rock set up and the tank's inhabitants. Just the overall best.

Gary Geddes'. Gareth Dominy's is nice, too, but the long-petioled plants leave too many unsighly open spaces and don't complement the wonderful hardscape very well. Mr. Geddes' tank is a bit too sparse--even just some groundcover-type plants would really heighten the dramatic effect of the promontory-based aquascape--but it's close to complete, IMHO.

I was impressed by Satu Jaske's tank. It has the soul.
It gave me impression of a underwater forest, not jungle or weed bunch. That driftwood in the middle captured my focus at once, leading me to the right side like to an underwater cave.
I adored it.

Chris Duffy's was the best. I favor densely planted tanks over all, no matter what. When that riccia fills in, it will look killer. If that pic was taken about 1 month in the future, he would have many more votes, if you ask me. Also, from his description, he has made such progress in his fishkeeping skills. He just deserved my vote.

I liked the one w/ all the slate & the clown loaches. It was calming, and very beautiful. The use of wood/rocks/plants was gorgeous. Nice contrast of elements.

BTW----I loved this "theme" idea, Marcos! It was cool how you put those tanks together for this month.
