hello all;
I have had my 170 litre aquarium running for a year now and had the same fish (basically) since I set the thing up, but I have noticed that some of the fins are seeming 'nipped' my profile contains the info on what fish my tank contains
any advice would be greatly appreciated |

| Quote: | | 170 litre; 1 angle fish, 2 yoyo loaches, 2 red and blue columbian tetras, 4 head and tail light tetras, 7 guppies, 1 large siamese algae eater, 1 cory cat, 5 platies, 2 danios, 1 black ghost knife (17cm), 2 rosy tetras. |
You have several known nippers in the tank and the stocking is inappropriate.
You need to rehome the Knife fish ASAP unless you can soon get a 400 litre or larger tank.
The tetras, danio, corydoras & loaches need to be in larger groups - but the tank is too small for that many fish especially given the size of adult yoyos. The Columbians, angel & BGKF are the most likely suspects. |
