home made tank stand

hi there...I just got a tank second hand from my neighbour.but I had to get a stand Sad .hehe..

decided it was too expensive to buy,so I gave it a go myself.I am a complete woodwork novice.I bought a sheet of 18MM MDF from a builders merchants and they cut it to size for me.

I had wood lying about from daughters pine bed and old pine dinner table,so I used that up.also had an old tv stand,that I made stronger.

applied 2 coats of oil-based undercoat,then 2 coats of black gloss to make the MDF waterproof. ( essential).

I joined it together with SPAX screws and wood screws.also used a instant grab adhesive to make the joins extra strong..
