Animal Planet has a new show about a team of aquarium builders.
I was curious if anyone has seen it and how it was being received by hobbyists, any comments?

Of those 30 views, I think 3 of them were me. I kept on forgetting what you wrote.

I heard about the show but I haven't seen it yet. When is it on?

I watched one. I was disappointed as the show is not really about fish keeping. It's sort of a blend of American Chopper and Showgirls - the tank builders are quartered in Las Vegas. The tanks are glitzy monstrosities IMO.

Yeah it's about a family managed business; the largest aquarium builders in the U.S.
To be honest, there are some things a like about the show and also some things that I really don't like at all, including the level of care they seem to have for the animals on the show. The design/build and installation process is very interesting. And these guys are very creative; they have designed some really beautiful setups including FO, FOWLR and Reef systems, also massive systems way over 50,000 gallons, and also some pathetic "themed tanks" that to me are pretty bad.

The main concern I have is they often seem to be rushing their setups and selling large volumes of delicate species to beginners; as you know, dumping Copperband butterflies and Regal angels into overcrowded tanks owned by novices isn't my cup of tea. Of course we know this happens at all levels in the industry so I don't mean to be singling them out, but it is what it is. I was just curious if anyone had seen it.
Here is the website for the show with video clips:

I have heard them mention on multiple episodes about having a program set up to rehome fish and sharks that outgrow their clients' tanks. Also, since most of the tanks they build are for businesses (and a lot of large ones, at that), the tanks are probably being maintained by a local business that specializes in corporate tank care.

They also seem obsessed with putting sharks into small tanks. I don't approve of that
