I currently have a halfmoon double tail plakat male betta in a 2 gallon aquarium. I had him in a 27 gallon community tank but relocated him due to fin nipping from other fish. I also have an empty ten gallon aquarium that I could use for breeding. I was wondering what the best way to breed these fish are and what kind of female to get?

10g, 4 inches or so (no more then 6). Indian Almond leaves (tea), Heater, sponge filter, fish....

Food for fry: Vinegar Eels for the very first feeding unless you have inforsia (?). New hatched bbs for week 2-4 of feeding...Walter, Banana, or Micro worms for back up incase bbs don't hatch.
Grindals or such for week 3-6 or further...

Female...I'd get a single tail PK female. You may have to purchase off Aquabid. I wouldn't get one from a pet store.

Temp for breeding is 80-85* F
