I have had 7 blackskirt tetras in a 27 gallon tank for about 3 months. All of them are healthy and doing fine. The problem is, the fish won't school, they just swim on their own. Before I got the 27 gallon I had 5 bst in a 10 gallon. These fish schooled and were never alone. I only added 2 new ones. How can I make them school again?

What else is in the tank?

I think you are confusing schooling & shoaling. Shoaling fish don't usually swim in unison unless they feel a threat.
Schooling fish move together.
