Happy new year, everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone had any new projects this year: setting up your first sump, first saltwater (or freshwater) tank, first breeder tank, or so on.
For myself, my project for the new year is to set my 10 gallon back up properly, and do all the planning and so on correctly. _________________ http://auditorandagentleman.blogspot.com - now with 100% more fish.

Non-fish related... I have all sorts of projects in mind! Haha. New backyard, building a toybox, a book shelf, a DVD case... But who wants to hear about that?
Fish-related... I'm going to put most of my efforts into my 75g tank and try to get it moderately planted, work on getting some more growth out of the plants and finish up the stocking (been on hold for a month or so because of Christmas). I just have to locate the cories I want, now!
Once that's done... I'm going to turn the 6 gallon into a heavily planted shrimp tank. It currently has two plants in it... so I've got a ways to go there. And I'll have to locate some cherry reds or pearl blue shrimp... That could be fun.
And once THAT tank is done... I'm going to start thinning out the fish in my 46g (mostly guppies at the moment), and get a nicely sized school of cardinals. I'm going to attempt to plant it, but I don't think it'll be heavily planted. Maybe just some java ferns and some moss.
I figure it'll take me a few months to do all this, because of fund limitations and the little baby that I am going to be watching starting in about a month. But I'm also keeping my eye on craigslist and the classifieds to see if I can pick up a 15 or 20g to try my hand at breeding... something. Not sure yet. I'll decide on that if/when I find a breeder tank. _________________ - Rachel |

I'm going to be picking up something in the 50-80G range and setting up my first sump. Hope to have things up and running by next new years |

A few, but I always have a project or so running - have to keep myself entertained!
Just started putting together a light unit for my new chocolate gourami tank today. Don't know why they don't sell T5HE units here, so decided to build one from DIY units and fit in some T5HO reflectors. _________________ Fishing in the Rivers of Light |

With all the changes in my life these past couple of years, just about every aspect of it is still being part of one "new project" or another
Fish-wise, I should be setting up my first tank in 2 years pretty soon, and if my previous re-beginnings serve as examples, I'll go from there to MTS in no time at all _________________
