Started this tank as a planted set up around a year ago after many mistakes,mis-haps and general poor planning from the off,I decided to start again..
Excuse the 'slightly' hazy water,I hadnt long done a change.
Current stocking in 6 Panda Corys,7 Harlequin Rasbora,a few MTS and an orange shrimp..I've got some Mopani in there,a few Java Ferns and smooth fine sand for the Corys who seem very happy in there 
I currently have some Indian Almond Leaves soaking in there,I'm waiting for them to sink and Ill stick some more (better) pics up.

Very plain, and very simple. I like it. My 'main' planted tank right now has like 13 different species of plants...its a ten gallon. I think you did a great job! I think that might be just a little bit too heavy stocking for that size tank...I could be mistaken though.

Thanks,I'm glad you like it I've only got Javas in there as I've kept the substrate shallow to avoid any toxic build up,I like the look of Javas too,when theyve grown in more it should look nice.
As far as stocking goes according to AQA my filter is running at 166% and they apparently quote at around 60% under just to be on the safe side,I also change 20 litres of the water weekly and keep the substrate scrupulously clean and agitate it at every water change.
Anyhoo,heres a pic with the leaves floating that I think looks kind of nice

| How do you keep your java ferns so clean? Mine always get ugly algae build-up no matter what I do. |

| I don't do a hell of a lot with the plants tbh mate ,Now and again Ill do a week or two on Excel and liquid ferts,other than tht I just trim leaves that arent getting on too well now and again. |

Maybe they stay clear because the light is only for the Javas? |

It could well be that,I do get a small amount of brown algae on some of the older leaves but nothing major.
I've also found that the I've had better growth/less diatoms after increasing aeration and circulation,a lot better in fact. |

Very nice tank. Harlequins are my favorite fish to put in with corydoras. They tend to stick to their own levels and generally mind their own business, even at feeding time.
