Those are nicer looking... but I imagine the gatorade (or whatever kind) bottle bottoms are a lot cheaper. Laughing

The plants I'm growing in cut off bottles are the invasive ones that keep sprouting new plantlets so probably aren't suited to the purpose built planters - the top seems to curl over so will probably hinder any new sprouts. Those candle holders look like a good idea though...might keep an eye out next time I go through IKEA. The only tiny complaint I have about the bottles are that the edges are a little sharp.

I bought these Dario dario as a pair, since then the "female" (on the right) has gained quite a bit of color & I'm thinking it was actually another male in disguise. Bit annoying, but ah well, thats life - probably have to rehome him soon.

Wave a lighter at the edges of the bottles, that will melt the edges some and take the sharpness off them.

They are very cute, unissuh! Would be a bummer if they were both males, though.

They really are, I guess my only real concern with them is the plant becoming rootbound. I suggested to him my design for Vals. You see vals grow shoots like crazy and if he could design something crecent shaped, and about 10" long, that would be great for vals.
