I got these lil' fellas at a local auction. I had six the isanga die in the bag though but luckily I got two bags of six and I am pretty sure that a brevis is in my occie 'Isanga' tank. _________________

Just switched out the sand...like 20 snails remaining in the tank out of a couple hundred. Poor snails, they are going to freeze tonight _________________

Here is a updated picture of the 29g 'isanga' tank (excuse the glare):
Pictures of the 'isanga' (I like saying that better than occie or ocellatus)
He dug a little barrier of sand around his shell
I was going to update the 20g brevis tank but the glare was so bad I decided to wait.
I think changing the sand was a good choice, if you ever need to get all the sand out, a dust pan for a broom works really well. _________________

The 20g high tank is now a softwater tank with S/A fish. Stocking as of now:
7 cardinal tetra
2 apistogramma cacatuoides "double flame" (one male, and one female, hopefully they will pair up)
Planned additions:
5 or so otos
6 cories, not sure what kind...(what ever is smallest but isn't mid-level)
Yes, this stocking seems steep, but I am buying a t-5HO light, it is hopefully going to be dutch. Might get some manzanita from Tom Barr, but it is expensive, so maybe not. I might go fishing with my dad and find some driftwood on my own like I did with my other 20g tank. I will start a separate journal here soon. _________________
