My 29g tank that was a b/n pleco tank is now a Lamprologus ocellatus 'Isanga' tank! My 20g tank that was a platy tank and then a tiger barb tank is now a Lamprologus brevis tank! Just thought I would share some pictures with you guys and hopefully I will get them to breed here in a month or so, but before I do that I need to get the shells that are in the mail for these cute lil' tangs. I also plan on getting around 5, 20g long tanks to start a big breeding operation but first I need to see if these guys will breed.

This one is hurt, its gill cover got ripped off by a tiger barb (I think...tiger barbs are for sale and are in holding tank now)
Ironic that this assassin snail is eating a MTS while a MTS is cleaning its shell...

Should I attempt to raise my pH to the 8.4-8.6 like most sites recommend? I would do this is baking soda and shells....My pH right now is 8.2 so it isn't that far off.
P.S. I will be posting more pictures when they start breeding and when I replace the gravel with sand and scape it all nice and purty.

Great pics! I love shellies. I have an empty 20g long I've wanted to turn into a shellie tank for awhile... I missed out on a really great deal on them on CL recently. 
I'd just leave the pH where it is and don't try messing with it. 8.2 will be fine.
Can't wait for new pics. Good decision swapping out the gravel for sand.

Sad that you missed out on that CL deal
I will keep the pH there besides what the shells I add in there brings it up to, that can't be helped that much.
I had sand, wanted gravel so poured it on top, I want good clean even sand though so hopefully I can get a bag or two at home depot or wal-mart here today...

Get a bunch of them for your 75g! They need a higher pH and you can provide that...Maybe in a month or two I can hook you up with some

I actually found a 15gal and a 30gal on CL last night... Haha. I want a larger fish in my 75  Though I just can't decide on what to put in it!

I 15g would be great for multis! A 30g would be a bit tall for them but would still work, I would breed like guppies or something in a 30g.
