Will a Assasin Snail kill only other snails or will it actually kill young fry's of pl*CO2?????? I have snail problems and they are tadpole snails and I want to get rid of them or at least try..... but I also have a bristlenose that breeds and I don't want to kill the baby's...... so that why I am asking question since they told me not to buy a zebra loach.... _________________ Mr Torres |

They won't eat the fry. I have heard reports of them eating shrimp but none of those have really been confirmed (I.e if the shrimp was already dead or dying) _________________

Get 5, that should do the trick and the assassin snail will multiply. _________________

ow I read they don't multiply unless you have a male and a female and I was thinking about 2 or maybe 3 so they would have food for a while..... but thats just what I read they actually not bad to have and they eat the MTS AND PS snails too. plus you where right they won't bother the fry's and they could eat regular fish food and algie's ... so that's what I was thinking... I know you said 5 but how about 3 is that OK? _________________ Mr Torres |

You could add 1 and be okay, you could add 50 and be okay.
They reproduce at around 10 per day after a month because that is how long it takes for the eggs to hatch and then they keep coming. _________________

I think your wrong about the reproduction or how they multiply.... the only way is if you have a male and a female....!!!!!!.

Okay, just thought you would want to know some other peoples experiences, not really the info as they are snails. Stick 'em in with other snails and fish that won't eat them and they will be okay. No real science to it. _________________
